Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its next major software update, HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, is coming to India very soon. This announcement has created strong excitement among Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO users, especially those waiting for a modern UI, advanced AI features and improved device performance.

Although the company has not revealed the exact rollout schedule, the teaser strongly indicates that many popular devices will be upgraded in the coming weeks.

HyperOS 3 brings one of the biggest visual redesigns Xiaomi has ever introduced. Users will notice a fresh and modern interface featuring AI Cinematic Lock Screen, AI Dynamic Wallpapers and newly redesigned icons with better colours, smoother corners and optimized dark-mode visibility. The update’s most talked-about feature is HyperIsland (also called Super Island), Xiaomi’s new notification style inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island.

It shows live activities, charging indicators, call details, music controls and even floating windows for recordings—without interrupting what’s on your screen.

AI is the heart of HyperOS 3. Xiaomi’s upgraded HyperAI engine adds smart screen recognition, DeepThink mode, enhanced writing tools, accurate speech transcription, instant summaries and more powerful AI search. Users can also reduce background noise and get clearer audio during calls and recordings.

The update package is expected to be around 6.5 GB, so Xiaomi recommends having at least 40% battery, enough storage and a strong Wi-Fi connection before installing.

According to the rollout patterns in China, early updates are expected for models like POCO X8, POCO X9 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro, with more devices joining gradually. Older devices such as the Xiaomi 13 series may receive the update by early 2026.

HyperOS 3 aims to deliver a faster, smarter and more seamless experience—making it one of Xiaomi’s most important updates yet.
